Welcome to ChicagolandRoofer.com (the “Site”). Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Site or submitting any request for roofing services. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Site.

1. Platform Role as an Intermediary Matching Service

Chicagoland Roofer is an online matching and referral service platform. We are not a licensed roofing contractor, we do not employ roofing crews, we do not perform physical roofing or construction work, and we do not issue quotes or warranties for completed work.

Our service is limited solely to connecting you with independent, third-party local roofing professionals and contractors (collectively, “Network Contractors”) who operate in the Chicagoland area.

By requesting services through the Site, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • We do not act as an agent, contractor, or sub-contractor for you or any Network Contractor.
  • We are not a party to any agreement, contract, quote, or project covenant executed between you and any Network Contractor.
  • Any agreement you enter into with a Network Contractor is strictly between you and that contractor, and we have no control over, nor responsibility for, the terms of such agreements.

2. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chicagoland Roofer, its parent companies, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall absolutely not be liable for any damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to your interactions with, hiring of, or work performed by any Network Contractor.

This liability waiver covers, but is not limited to:

  • Any structural damage, property damage, water intrusion, mold growth, or bodily injury occurring during or after work performed by a contractor.
  • Financial disputes, payment disagreements, billing errors, or mechanics liens placed on your property.
  • Poor workmanship, defective materials, failure to meet local building codes, or structural failures.
  • Project delays, missed deadlines, or contractor abandonment.
  • Misrepresentations regarding contractor licensing, bonding, or insurance status.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Chicagoland Roofer and its affiliates from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, losses, and legal fees arising out of your use of our referral platform or any dispute you have with a Network Contractor.

3. No Warranties or Endorsements

While we make reasonable efforts to pre-vet the Network Contractors in our referral system (such as confirming state licensing, verifying standard business status, and requiring active insurance coverage), we do not guarantee, warrant, or endorse:

  • The quality, safety, suitability, or legality of the services provided by any Network Contractor.
  • The accuracy of contractor quotes, estimates, or marketing statements.
  • That any contractor will maintain their licensing, bonding, or insurance active at the moment they perform work on your property.

We strongly recommend that you independently verify a contractor's current license status (via the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation - IDFPR), request proof of active general liability and workers' compensation insurance, and check customer reviews before signing any contract.

4. User Responsibilities & Data Consent

By using our Site and submitting requests, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete contact and property information.
  • Accept that your data will be routed to Network Contractors in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • Receive telephone communications, automated SMS messages, and emails from us and Network Contractors as described in the TCPA consent disclosures.

5. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Illinois, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law provisions.

You agree that any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site shall be instituted exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, and you submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

6. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible, and the remaining provisions of these Terms shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of the Site.

7. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.
